For this poster design for the CCSF Masterwork Chorale’s Winter Concert, I wanted to create something that visually connects to both the musical and seasonal aspects of the event. My concept centers on an ornament hanging from a pine branch, but together these elements form the shape of an eighth note. Because the concert includes both sacred and secular pieces, I chose to focus on the more secular, festive imagery like the ornament and pine rather than overtly religious symbols. To balance that, I also selected a color palette that leans toward general “holiday” tones rather than strictly Christmas colors. 🌲
