This logo was created for the African American Resource Center at CCSF. The logo is centered around the aloe plant, which is native to Africa and also deeply woven into the landscape of San Francisco. Aloe is symbolic of healing and thrives even in harsh environments. This aligns with the center’s guiding phrase, “heal together, work together, thrive together,”. To emphasize a sense of nurturing and support, the mark is contained within a circular form, evoking community, collaboration, and a supporting environment. 

An organic typeface was chosen to complement the natural imagery and reinforce warmth and approachability. The client’s desired palette of light red, orange, and green draws directly from the aloe plant and its flowers.
